The original LP was released on Columbia Records in 1973. Now, 35 years later, Johnny Cash fans who have made the transition to a cd-player can finally experience the legendary concert from Sweden.

Johnny Cash held the concert at Österåker October 3, '72, and entertained the swedish prisoners with both song and swedish chit chat! The most famous about this concert is that Johnny actually talked swedish in between some of the songs. As a Norwegian (who has a very similar language) I sure know how to appriciate it!

The LP from '73 contains 12 songs, and none of the "hit" songs. The only single released from the album was "Orleans Parish Prison", and it did rather poorly on the charts. The cd, on the other hand, has been blessed with 12 "new" songs. And based on the reception it got in Sweden, bursting in on the top 30s, it seems like Johnny Cash fans appriciate the remaster.
